What We Do
We’re here to provide live musicians for your wedding or ANY other event. Whether you want a string quartet, a rock band, or just a singer and pianist, we can hook you up! We offer free consultations and quotes to help you choose the perfect ensemble for your special day. Our goal is to reflect your unique story through the music at your event.
About the Owner
Chris Smallwood fell in love with music as a young kid, but didn’t fall onto a piano bench until high school, when he broke his leg. Just two years later, he was invited to Kentucky’s prestigious Governor’s School for the Arts program. In 2008, Chris received a bachelor of music from Belmont University and in 2010 earned his master of music from the University of Louisville. Chris has toured internationally with Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles for eight years and loves sharing his passion for The Beatles’ music with fans all over the world. Chris currently serves as adjunct music faculty at Belmont University and works as Music Director/Performer with Chef Alton Brown’s live show, “Eat Your Science” which has toured extensively in the United States. Chris also writes and produces original music for Alton Brown’s show “Good Eats: Reloaded” and “Good Eats: The Return". In early 2016, Chris released his first piano pop record, “Out in the Open,” which is available on iTunes, or by clicking here and purchasing a physical copy. Mockingbird Musicians has been providing music for Events in Nashville since 2011.
